I tried following Shlomi's post of 8/5/17 but like you, the list of printers was blank, and no way to select or define the HP.I did a bunch of reading and have concluded that at the moment I can't download a driver that allows a direct USB wired connection to my MacBook. Maybe someone else figured that out.I did read about AirPrint. I unhooked my HP 1020 and plugged it in with the USB to the port on my Apple Airport Extreme.
